Why do women have diarrhea during menstruation?

Do any ladies have diarrhea during menstruation?

If anyone has had this symptom, let’s take a look at what caused it and how does it affect us?

Diarrhea during menstruation caused by the body’s secretion called “Prostaglandins” produced when women have period. It is a substance in the endometrial cells. As a result, it causes uterine contraction to induce period.

This also causes the intestines next to the uterus to move and contract as well. Consequently, it can result in diarrhea or loose stools. Occur during the first 1-2 days of your period.

Generally, these symptoms are not considered serious condition. Diarrhea will gradually disappear on its own after 1-3 days of menstruation. However, if the diarrhea is unusually long, it is recommended to see a doctor immediately to find out the real cause.
