Why do we need to have a dental check-up before pregnancy?
For women who are planning to get pregnant, another thing to consider is “dental check-ups.” It would help if you had an oral check-up to receive treatment to reduce the risk of oral infections.
Because tooth decay or even gingivitis affects the quality of life of the mother during pregnancy, including involving the pregnancy, such as premature birth, and children being born with low weight. Therefore, knowing this, you should prepare to prevent these conditions from happening in the future.
Things to do
Things to do should include eating a balanced diet, reducing the intake of sweet foods, focusing on eating vegetables and fruits, brushing your teeth twice a day, morning and night, with fluoride toothpaste for more than 2 minutes, and after brushing your teeth, you should not eat or drink for 2 hours after brushing your teeth and do not forget to floss at least once a day. It would be best if you had your teeth checked every 6 months and should strictly follow the instructions for dental services.
