When preparing to have a baby, should you eat more animal protein or plant protein?
“Protein” is important for people of all ages, and they will receive different benefits. It must be consumed in different amounts at different ages. Protein is easily found in animal products, such as meat, milk, eggs, and processed foods such as butter and cheese.
But for parents who want to start taking care of themselves to avoid infertility, they can begin by avoiding high-fat foods and trans fats, such as margarine, fried foods, and snacks, to control blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of diabetes.
So how should people who want to have children eat protein?
If you are preparing to have children, you should eat 1-1.5 grams of protein per body weight/day. Proteins that should be eaten include fish, eggs, chicken, beef, pork, etc.
Eating protein from animals should be done in moderation. Although the nutritional value of animal protein is high, fat, cholesterol, and the risk of various dangerous diseases are also increased.
Plant protein is low in saturated fat, has no cholesterol, is high in fiber, and has fewer calories than animal protein. They can be eaten together, but it is recommended to avoid plant proteins that have effects similar to female hormones, such as soybeans and processed soybean proteins because they can affect the uterus.
Eating protein with iron will help strengthen the uterus and also help produce quality eggs. In addition, eating green vegetables to increase folate and vitamin B helps accelerate ovulation, resulting in a good chance of pregnancy in the future.
